What is the simplest way to improve your gate system?

We are often asked what we would recommend to upgrade and improve the performance of a gate system.
Well at SEA we have a new control panel that can be used on most 230V motors,

The Gate 2 DG invertor panel is the latest break through in control panel technology. Lots of advantages, but here is a quick explanation of the main item that makes it special.

All 230V motors are powered from a single phase supply from your house or business, the motor is fed power on two wires, the problem is that the motor needs someway of deciding which way to travel so a third wire and capacitor are added.
I am not going to confuse you by explaining how the addition of the capacitor helps with direction, just believe me when I say that this is how gate motors have operated for the last 50 years.
Now the problem, capacitors are inefficient, causing the motors to get hot and only operating at one speed.
(when you see a motor going slow this is because the control panel switched the motors on and off 20 times a second ie continuous stop and start)

The new control panel solves this problem electronically supplying the power on all three wires and acting like a wave 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 and when it wants to go in reverse 3 2 1 3 2 1 3 2 1
If it wants the motor to go faster, change the speed ie. 123123123 or 321321321
if you want to slow the motor down 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 or 3 2 1 3 2 1 3 2 1
