Electromechanical and Hydraulic Traffic Barriers.

Overview

SEA provide fast and reliable automatic traffic barriers to suit the individual needs of the client. Our barriers all have electronic slow down at the end of travel in both opening and closing, ensuring smooth and safe operation.

Fully compatible with the SEA range of accessories and most manufacturers of audio and video intercom equipment, the system can be tailored to meet individual needs by incorporating controls such as:

● Card reader systems - stand alone or computer linked
● Digital code pads
● Time clocks and hold open switches
● Induction loops /photocells for free entry, free exit and safety
● Patented rubber mechanical safety edges
● Vehicle recognition systems
● Biometric identification systems

All barriers are aluminium and available in tubular or rectangular section. The casings to the pedestals are constructed in steel that is processed with cataphoresis and finished with polyester powder coating. Stainless steel casings are also available if required.

Verg

Verg

The Verg 24V electromechanical barrier is designed for beam lengths up to 5000mm. Its low voltage motor offers an extremely safe and flexible system for a 60% duty cycle, suitable for medium sized car parks.

Cases are pre-drilled for fast installation of photocells and key switches and beams are counterbalanced to reduce loadings on the motor, extending the life of the barrier. A simple key release is incorporated, in case of power failure with an optional emergency battery back-up available.

Operating speeds from 2.5 seconds for rapid vehicle access can be adjusted to suit the beam length, while current sensing and an in-built motor rotation sensor make the Verg traffic barrier one of the safest systems available.

Vela

Designed for beam lengths up to 5000mm, the Vela is available in 3 speeds. Suitable for the busiest of car parks, this robust system can cope with a 90% duty cycle providing a high level of safety as standard.

The hydraulic operation is extremely quiet and safety valves in both directions of travel allow for the adjustment of operating pressures, acting as fool proof anti-crush system. Internal non-return valves secure the barrier in all positions and a thermal overload is built into the motor to provide the highest level of protection.

Articulated 3m & 3.5m and skirted 3m, 3.5m & 4m rectangular beams are available.

Vela Indestrial

This hydraulic barrier is ideally suited to busy entrances, designed for beam lengths up to 7000mm: with a strong double yoke beam carrier it can cover road widths of 7500mm.

A 75% duty cycle allows it to cope with intensive use and operating speeds of 8-12 seconds.

Left and right handed cabinets, foundation plates and adjustable/flexible fork supports are available, whilst in-built safety valves are provided as standard.

Storm

The Storm is a low voltage barrier designed for beam lengths up to 7m with out skirt, or 6m with skirt. The Storm is designed for high usage commercial and industrial sites where a large beam length is required. With a duty cycle of up to 70% and operating speeds of 8 - 12 seconds, the Storm barrier can cope with the busiest of installations.

A 24V control system is supplied with the Storm and has many advantages such as adjustable opening speeds and built in motor current sensing to provide stop and reverse safety as required by EN12453. Battery backup systems are available as an optional extra with this barrier system.

All of the main components for the Storm are manufactured and tested in-house ensuring the highest of engineering standards as with all SEA products. The steel casing is processed with cataphoresis and finished in a polyester powder coat - a stainless steel casing is also available. Casings are pre-drilled for photocells and key switches.
